Toa Industry contributes to the Gyoza Food Business with both Machinery and the Know-How
Our journey into the world of gyoza machines began 50 years ago. Originally a manufacturer of molds for automobile parts, we received a request from a gyoza restaurant: “Could you create a way to make gyoza more efficiently through automation?” While we had expertise in press technology for bending metal sheets, wrapping soft fillings in thin gyoza skins and shaping them proved to be a continuous cycle of trial and error. However, the resilient technology we developed during this process culminated in groundbreaking products, such as the fully automatic TX-16 Gyoza Machine capable of producing 10,000 gyoza per hour and the compact tabletop TOA Gyoza Machine, known as the "Gyoza Innovation."
The strength of our gyoza machines lies in their ability to precisely replicate the gyoza crafted with care by skilled artisans across Japan. From size and shape to filling volume and skin thickness, our machines faithfully reproduce the characteristics of handmade gyoza. They could even be described as apprentices that carry forward the cherished flavors and traditions perfected by our customers.
Our other pillar of success lies in our software solutions: supporting the establishment of gyoza specialty restaurants. Through the production of gyoza machines, Toa Industry has cultivated a deep understanding of gyoza, aligning with our customers' dedication and needs. This expertise has been consolidated into our own gyoza specialty restaurant, Hamataro. By leveraging the operational and management experience gained from Hamataro, we aim to foster mutually prosperous relationships with clients who are starting new ventures in the gyoza business.
Today, Japanese gyoza is gaining global attention.
Toa Industry remains committed to working alongside our customers to meet new challenges, striving for the day when gyoza will be widely loved across the world.
